Acalanes DramaDons presents Twelfth Night |
Acalanes DramaDons presents Twelfth Night, April 30, May 1-3 in the Little Theater. Revelry, disguises, and (of course) pining lovers abound in what some call Shakespeare’s most perfect comedy. Twins Viola and Sebastian, separated in a shipwreck and presuming each other dead, wash ashore in the beautiful but mysterious land of Illyria. A tale of mistaken identity and mismatched love unfurls as lords and ladies, servants and masters wind a topsy-turvy path to happiness... Showtime is 7:00; doors open at 6:30. General admission tickets are $10.35, $7.35 for students; tickets may be purchased on the web store, at the door or on campus during lunch. All proceeds benefit the Acalanes Performing Arts Boosters - Drama Discipline. There is a $.35 handling charge figured into the ticket price. Click to buy tickets - see you at the show! |
Second Annual Drama Trip to Ashland, Oregon
The Acalanes Drama Dept is pleased to announce that we are returning to Ashland, Oregon over Memorial weekend to see several plays, participate in actor-led discussions, and go on a backstage tour at the world famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF). This is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in the culture of theater and participate in an exceptional educational experience. The OSF consistently attracts writers, directors and actors of the highest caliber, and garners awards for innovation and creativity in its productions. In addition, we will have our own personal "insider" guide, as Mr. Meehan worked on his Masters in Theater Education at Southern Oregon University in Ashland.
